THOMASVILLE | Jason Allen Oliver, 25, of Kennedy Road, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, at his home.

The service to celebrate Jason's life will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Freedom Baptist Church, 214 Hillcrest Court, Lexington, by Preacher Clyde Akers. Burial will be in the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 101 E. Park Ave., Lexington.

Mr. Oliver was born in Fort Hood, Texas, on April 10, 1983. He had been employed in the appliance rebuild business and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a sister, Surenda Lynn Clontz, and grandparents Harry Oliver, Bill Clontz and Wilma and Lloyd Collins.

He is survived by his father, Paul Alan Oliver of Kernersville, and his mother and stepfather, Sherry Lynn Tuttle Clontz and Jeffrey Alan Clontz of Thomasville; a brother, Levi Oliver of Thomasville; a sister, Chasity Clontz of Thomasville; a grandfather, Jimmy Starling of Mount Airy; a grandmother, Wanda Oliver of Lexington, a stepgrandmother, Doris Bassett of Salisbury; a special niece, Autumn Phillips; several aunts and uncles; and a longtime girlfriend, Amanda Story.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday at Freedom Baptist Church.

Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville is handling the arrangements.
