Arthur Heath, 89, 905 W. Gilbert, died Tuesday evening at Ball Hospital following a month's illness.
He was born in Shellsburg, Iowa, and moved to Delaware County as a boy. He attended Delaware County schools and Muncie Business College.
Mr. Heath was formerly employed at New York Central Railroad, Durant Motors, Warner Corporation, and Max Ziegler and Company.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Dale, Muncie, and Mrs. Hazel Gilbert, Anderson; two sons, Robert E. and John A. Heath, both of Muncie; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ervin and Otto Heath, both of Muncie. His wife, Edna Durler Heath, died in 1968.
Services will be held at Meeks Mortuary at 10 a.m. Friday with Thomas Carter, assistant pastor of First United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Tomlinson Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and any time before the services Friday.
