RENO, Nev. - Mrs. Malinda Lavering, 96, Reno, Nev., died Friday at Riverside Skill Care Home in Reno.
Mrs. Laverlng was born Sept. 21, 1887, in Aurora, Kan. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Catholic church and the Catholic Daughters of America.
Her first husband, Emery Letourneau, died in 1932. Her second husband, Arthur Layering, died in 1955.
She is survived by a daughter, Lucille Breault, Truckee, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Demars, Clifton, and Sister Good Counsel, LaGrange, Ill.; a grandchild; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Aurora, the Revs. Stephen Letourneau and Henry Kieffer officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Aurora.
A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Chaput-Buoy Chapel, Concordia.
