Mrs. McLamar Burial Today

Funeral Services were held this morning in Ottumwa for Mrs. Ed (Katherine) McLamar, 86, of Ottumwa, who died at St. Joseph Hospital there Friday.

She was born in Melrose April 17, 1886, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anastatia (should be Anistasia) Scieszinski and has lived in Ottumwa for the past 60 years.

She was married to Ed McLamar in Melrose. He preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.

Survivors include two brothers, Dan of Davenport and Edward of Janesville, Wis., and a sister, Mrs. Anna Bogaerts of Ottumwa and four grandchildren.

The Rosary was recited Sunday night at the Trail Funeral Home and services were held this morning at St. Mary’s Church in Ottumwa with the Rev. Thomas Stratman officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Katherine McLamar, 85, died Friday at 2:45 a.m., at St. Joseph Hospital. Her home was at 806 N. Jefferson St.

Mrs. McLamar was preceded in death by her husband, three children, three sisters, and six brothers.

The Rev. Thomas Stratman will celebrate a Requiem Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Monday at 10 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Tom, Morris, Edward, Ed, John A., and Jack Scieszinski.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Traul Funeral Home.
