On the afternoon of Monday, September 5, 2011, Sarah Genova Jumper, 75, of Roanoke, Va., and Washington, D.C., went home to be with the Lord. She was born in Roanoke, Va., on April 28, 1936, to the late Sally Mae and William Jumper. Sarah graduated from Lucy Addison High School. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Pricilla Ann Jumper; brother, George Jumper; and sisters, Mary Alice Momoh and Betty Lee McGeorge. Sarah leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her children, Thomasina R. Campbell, of Washington, D.C., June V. Smith, of Florida, Edward J. Jumper, of Virginia, Dawn V. Victorian, of Colorado, Edna M. Barbour, Diane Barbour and Sharon D. Jumper, all of Maryland, and Lisa S. Jumper, of Virginia; 27 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great- great- grandchild; brother, Altena Dargan; sister, Sally Gray; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2011, in the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel with the Rev. Woodrow Walker Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Williams Memorial Park. There will be no viewing.
