Religious Leader. She and Theresa Carrico, along with Bishop John Baptist David, co-founded the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. From a little log cabin on Saint Thomas Farm near Bardstown, Kentucky, the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth grew to form many daughter foundations in the United States and in other countries. She retired from the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in December of 1814. She was later with the Dominicans at St. Catharine of Sienna, which was then known as Saint Mary Magdalene's, and lastly was at the convent of Saint Rose, in Washington County, Kentucky, where she died at the age of 76 years. She was first interred at Saint Rose, but was later moved to Saint Catharine of Sienna.
