Shirley Kohout Workman (1948 - 2011)

Shirley Kohout Workman passed away peacefully at her home Monday, Sept. 12, 2011. She was 63 years old.

Service: Friends and Family are invited to attend a funeral for Shirley at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in North Richland Hills. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, with a rosary at 7.

Shirley was born in Kenosha, Wis., and graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in 1966.

She spent most of her work life as an executive travel consultant. Shirley enjoyed bowling, knitting, traveling and cooking. Those who were close to her describe her as a very generous and loyal friend.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernie Workman; her parents, Frank and Barbara Kohout; and her brother, Tom Kohout.

Survivors: Those left to treasure Shirley's memory are her niece, Korie Rumph; Auntie Mary Kohout; close cousins and caregivers, Joanne Winik, Janice Jecevicus and Judy Herr; daughter-in-law, Jereane Workman; grandson, Stephen Workman; dear friends, Leslie Corbell, Barbara Krueger and Donna Cassels; and a host of other friends and family.
