Married William Fletcher McMurry on 03 NOV 1859.

Death of an Aged Lady.
Mrs. Fletcher McMurry died at the home of her daughter. Mrs. E. E. Laughlin, of near Wyaconda, last Sunday evening at 9 o'clock, aged 72 year.
Mrs. McMurry was far above the average in mental equipment having graduated from the Methodist college at Canton, when a young lady, graduating with the honors of her class. She remained a great reader of good books and periodicals as long as she lived, keeping abreast of the times and taking a lively interest in all forward movements and reforms. She was a daughter of General Martin E. Green, who gave up his life in one of the bloodiest fought battles of the rebellion "for the lost cause."
She was a faithful and devoted member of the M. E. church, south, giving liberally of her means for its welfare, yet she was not of a sectarian, narrowminded spirit. She was a woman of broad sympathies and a liberal mind. She loved her home and sought to make it pleasant and happy, arguing by precept and example that the ideal sphere of woman is to be queen and mother of a home, yet her strongest characteristic was her faithfulness as a Christian.
She leaves five sons and two daughters, viz: Arthur, of near Colony; Adolphos, Joseph and Hon. Wesley, of near Rutledge; Edwin, a successful manufacturer, of Chicago; Mrs. E. E. Laughlin, of near Wyaconda, and Mrs. English, wife of Rev. English pastor of Grace M. E. church, Bloomington, Illinois. All her children are prosperous, and leading citizens of the communities in which they live.
The funeral was held from the Colony M. E. church, south, Monday morning conducted by Revs. English and Allison, after which the body was tenderly laid to rest in Colony cemetery.
