Joseph Medical Center. Mr. Zell was a lifelong resident of Fort
Wayne. He retired from American Holst Co. after 28 years and
was employed as a confinement officer at Allen County Jail.
He was a Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley I.; a daughter, Kathy K. Zell of
Fort Wayne; a son, Donald O. Jr. of Columbia City; his mother,
Lillie M. Zell of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Raymond L. of
Huntertown and Terry L. of Fort Wayne; a sister, Shirley A.
Powell of Fort Wayne; and three grandchildren.
Services at noon Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside
Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Calling from 10 am Friday
until services at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood
Cemetery. Memorials to St. Joseph Medical Center
