Obituary
ELIHU H. ANDERSON
Elihu H. Anderson was born January 6, 1861 at Nashville, Tenn., and died at his home near Carter January 23, 1933, at 1:20 A. M. He professed his religion early in life and lived a devoted life until death took him. His wife preceded him in death June 24, 1930, also two children, a son at the age of 16 and a daughter at 3 months old. He leaves to mourn his death 9 children, 6 girls and 3 boys. 22 grondchildren(sic) and one great grandson, and a host of friends.
The following are the surviving children: Toney Anderson, address unknown, Jim Anderson, Sweetwater, Okla., Worley Anderson, Corpus Christi, Texas, Mrs. Mary Abernathy, Clovis, New Mexico, Mrs. Katherine Crouch, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Eliza Jennings, Carter, Mrs. Roxie Greene, Amarillo, Texas, Mrs. Lula Phelps, Fox, Akla.,(sic) Mrs. Dovie Dearman, Oklahoma City. All were at their father's bed side except two sons, Worley being in a hospital at Corpus Christi and Tony who was unable to be located.
He was a devoted husband and father and loved by all who knew him.
