To the Honorable Court of the County Henry and State of Tennessee

Your petitioners represent to your Honor; that Mark Nix a citizen of Henry County and State of Tennessee departed this life some time since in said county, leaving Murzy Nix his widow now Murzy Crawford who takes a childs part of his estate: R.F. Nix, T. J. Nix, Pernica Nix now Pernicia Berry, Rillia Nix now Rillia Bur, Lillia Ann Nix now Lillia Ann Browning, Susan June Nix now Susan June Ray and William Nix; minors the guardian of whom is Murzy Crawford the mother of and one of your petitioners; All heirs and only heirs at law of Mark Nix deceased;
Your petitioners represent to your honor that Mark Nix deceased, passed of the following negro slaves to wit 6 ni negra woman named Liza about 35 years old and child about 3 weeks old, Angeline about 14 years old a negra boy named Marion about 12 years old, a boy George 10 years old, a boy Albert about 8 years old, Mary about 4 years old and one girl Loucilla about 2 years old which has never been divided among the aforesaid heirs at law the therefore pray your Honor to decree the appointment of Commissioners to decide and portion said Negroes slaves equally between your petitioners and report the same to the ..Term of the Honorable court and grant such other and further relief as may seem met and your petitioners as in duty bould will even pray.
