Ruel Brumley, 72, Jamestown, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at the Russell County Hospital.
He was born January 30, 1936 in Russell County to the late Clara Mae Brumley Weston and Harrison Brumley.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Johnson Brumley; four sons, Stacy and Ronald Brumley, Jamestown, Randall Brumley (special friend, Angela Smith and her son Chris Smith) also of Jamestown, and Perry (Beverly) Brumley, Russell Springs; three grandchildren, Ashley, Kaylee, and Mason Brumley; a host of nieces and nephews; three brothers, Phillip (Kathy) Weston, Kenny (Becky) Weston, both of Jamestown and E.J. (Judy) Weston, Milton, KY; and one sister, Pamela (Rick) Gasaway, Russell Springs.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Elisha Weston; three sisters, Margaret Popplewell, Ruby Fox and Ruthie Johnson; and one brother, Jimmy Weston.
Mr. Brumley was retired from the Russell County Road Department and was a member of the Church of God.
The funeral was held Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Cleveland Johnson and Bro. Bobby Conner officiating.
Burial was in the Ridgecrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Steve Lawhorn, Chris Bragg, Chris Ruckel, Scottie Weston, Ricky Gasaway and Eddie Johnson.
