Dead at 97
Services for Hulda Mary Boerner, 97, of Wharton, who died Monday in Bay City following an extended illness, were Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran church in Wharton.
Rev. Martin Herzog officiated, with burial following in the Wharton City Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Louise Wessels of Houston; one son, Alvin, of Wharton; five grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Don and George Wessels Jr. Danny and Mike Reeves, Lynn Boerner and Jessie Lee Ustynik.
Mrs. Boerner was born Nov. 4, 1883, in Cypress to Friedrich and Wilhelmine Addicks Zahn. She had been a resident of Wharton for 81 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a past member of the Argonians.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Wharton Funeral Home.
