*Note: There is no Wollerton California as her obituary from Manti, Utah states. Thanks to a distant cousin, Erik Anderson doing research for Manti, Utah. he came across an Ebay item for an old photo album from Manti. One page had a funeral photo for a "Mary E. Turner". There were also 2 newspaper clippings for the obituaries. Apparently Mary Ellen Crawford married again after Ralph Cotting died. She married John Elwood Turner of Fullerton, CA. Her obituary stated she was buried at Loma Vista Memorial Park. (Hooray! The mystery is finally solved. Edited May 2022)
* Married Walter Franklin Mayhew June 4, 1885 in Logan, Utah, later divorced.
* Married Simon P. Westfall August 2, 1888 in Manti, Utah; he died the following
year in 1889.
* Married David Dickinson LaFavor about 1893 in Utah. This marriage was fraught
with deception. D. D. LaFavor was a bigamist and was charged several times with
being thus. Mary Ellen filed for divorce in 1902 and requested her former last
name of "Westfall be restored".
* Married Ralph Plymton Cotting September 16, 1902 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
* Married John Elwood Turner abt 1923, California
No children with Walter. One son with Simon; Simon P. Jr. born & died 1889 in Manti. One son with David D. ; Quincy Burton LaFavor born 1895 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Although Mary's last husband Ralph was not the birth father of Quincy, he was by all means the only real father Quincy had. Whether Quincy was legally adopted by Ralph or not, he took upon him his step-father's last name of Cotting.

FORMER MANTIAN DIES IN CALIFORNIA---Mrs. Helen Cotting of Wollerton California died at her home last Monday and was buried in the Wollerton cemetery Wednesday. Her son Burton and her two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Thompson of Sterling and Mrs. Maggie Peacock of Orangeville were at her bedside when she passed away.
Mrs. Cotting was born in Manti 56 years ago, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Crawford. For a number of years she has made her home in California.
She is survived by one son, Burton, who is married, a number of brothers and sisters among whom are the two mentioned above and W. W. Crawford of Ogden, Q. G. Crawford of Salt Lake, James and Tan Crawford of Orangeville.
* Note: Although Simon Westfall's gravestone says that he was born in 1835, I think it was off several years and he was older than indicated. Also Ralph's grave says he was born in 1856; his birth records states "Ralph Plymton Cotting born 19 July 1849, Lincoln, Middlesex, Massachusetts."
