Services for Bessie Blanche Bizzle were held May 11 at the Central Church of Christ with pastor Jimmy Colvert officiating. Mrs. Bizzle died May 8, 1982, in Kennett at the age of 84. She was a widow of Albert Lee Bizzle.

Mrs. Bizzle came to Missouri as a small child with her family. She was born in Oklahoma to the late James Monroe and Nellie (Tarrant) Lane in 1898. She married her husband in Blytheville in 1917. Mrs. Bizzel was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors are a son, James of Hobbs, N.M.; three sisters, Vivian Brantley, Nell Barnes, and Joyce House, all of Caruthersville; a sister Mrs. Dollie Booker of Steele; and 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Men of the church served as pallbearers and interment was in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele. The Dean Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge.
