Cleophine (Cleo) Snelson, 71, of 2322 Wisconsin Ave, New Holstein, died Saturday, February 12, 1994, at Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc.
She was born October 4, 1922 in the Town of Charlestown, Calumet County, the daughter of the late George and Helen Woelfel Mueller.
She was a licensed practical nurse and worked at the Calumet Homestead in New Holstein, retiring in 1985. On April 5, 1945, she married Richard Snelson. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1976.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, its Christian Women's Society, Daughters of Isabella, Marion Circle No. 923, Chilton Eagles Auxiliary No. 1288 and the New Holstein American Legion Auxiliary No. 124. She belonged to six card clubs and worked for the bloodmobile for many years.
Survivors Include two sons, George of Arkansas and Frank, Chilton; one daughter, Janet Hessil, New Holstein; four grandchildren; three sisters, Sister Antona, Campbellsport; Lorraine Oldham, Green Valley, Ariz, and Maida Apps, Green Bay.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Norbert Mueller.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein with the Rev. Patrick Lloyd officiating. Burial in the Holy Rosary Cemetery.
