MILTONVALE - The funeral for Arthur Joseph Adam, 82, Miltonvale, will be at 9:30 am Wednesday at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church here, the Rev. Daniel Scheetz officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery at St. Joseph, Kan. Mr. Adam died Sunday at St. Ann's Home, Concordia.
He was born in Cloud County June 2, 1890 and farmed until retiring to Miltonvale about 20 years ago. He was a member of St. Anthony's Church.
Survivors are the widow, Amanda; 3 sons, Raymond, Concordia; Francis, Miltonvale, and Junior, Emporia; 4 daughters, Mrs. Stella DeMars, Wichita; Mrs. Anna Bombardier, Abilene; Mrs. Dorothy Talley, Salina, and Mrs. Bertha Koch, Clyde; 3 brothers, Alphonse and Hector, both of Concordia, and Alpha, Wichita; a sister, Mrs. Ella Chilcott, Wichita; 26 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
The Rosary will be said at 7:30 pm Tuesday at the Phelps Funeral Home, Miltonvale.
