William V. Fletcher

William V. Fletcher, 86, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was a Greenwood resident.

He was born May 27, 1913, in Franklin County, Ill. His parents were Lawrence V. and Floy (Cerles) Fletcher. He married Lucy C. (Adams) Fletcher. She preceded him in death. Survivors include one daughter, Verna R. Blakely of Greenfield; one son, William C. Fletcher of Greenwood; two sisters, Lucille Balta of Valparaiso and Maggie Carney of Alton, Ill.; five grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother.

He was employed by Allied Aggregates for 12 years. He was a member of Operating Engineers 841.

The Rev. John Stephenson will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, State Road 135 Chapel. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
