FITZWILLIAM - Brian "Bubba" age 25 of Bethpage, L.I. on June 27, 2010, after a courageous 4 year battle with cancer. Beloved son of John and Jacqueline Fitzwilliam. Dear brother of John J. Fitzwilliam. Adored grandson of Veronica Fitzwilliam. Brian will be dearly missed by his many aunts, uncles and cousins. Brian was a proud and devoted member of the Bethpage Fire Department, Engine Co. 5 and an Honorary Chief of the Washington, D.C. Fire Department. Brian loved many things in life especially Angel, his Boston terrier and "The Punisherr", his Pontiac G8GT.
Reposing at the Fredrick J.Chapey & Sons Bethpage Funeral Home, 20 Hicksville Road (1Mile North of Southern State Parkway, Exit 29). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial, St. James R.C. Church, Seaford, L.I., Thursday 10:15AM. Interment St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, L.I. Visiting Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4:30 & 7-9:30. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in memory of Brian to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, P.O. Box 27106, NY, NY 10087-7106.

The Bethpage Fire Dept Mourns a Loss

Firefighter Brian Michael Fitzwilliam.....a.k.a. BUBBA....passed away Sunday morning at 1 am at home surrounded by his family. He was 25 years old and a member of Engine Co.5 "The Pride of Plainedge"
Brian was the son of Ex Chief John Fitzwilliam and, past president of the lady's aux, Jackie Fitzwilliam. Also Brother to John Fitzwilliam Jr.

He fought the good fight for four years. He is now at rest.
