JOHN WILLIAM GREGG, aged 79, of 523 Mistletoe Avenue, died at his home at 10:10 a. m. of diabetes.

Mr. Gregg was born in Pittsburgh, June 23, 1861, a son of the late Francis F. and Mary Evans Gregg, and lived in Youngstown the last 12 years, coming from Sharon and Monessen, Pa.

Mr. Gregg, a retired roller at the Carnegie-Illinois Steel Corporation Hoop Mill, was actively identified with the Methodist Church.

He leaves behind his wife, the former Elizabeth Ellis, two daughters, Mary and Capitola, both of Youngstown, a son, John W. of Detroit, and four granchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p. m. Saturday at the Orr Funeral Home with burial in Sharon, Pa. The family will meet at the funeral home.
