Funeral services for Lovie B. Jones, of Meadville, were 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Midway Cemetery.
Visitation was Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Jones, 85, died Aug. 31, 2011, at his residence. He was born in Franklin County on Aug. 5, 1926, to Robert and Lela Lee Jones.
He was retired from International Paper Mill. He was a member of the John A. Galbreath Lodge No. 0334 for 62 years.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one grandson.
Survivors are his wife, Sarah Smith Jones, of Meadville; his sons, James R. Jones (Irene), of Prarieville, La., William B. Jones (Teresa), of Hixon, Tenn., John M. Jones (Debbie), of Caseyville, and Ronnie E. Jones (Kelli), of Pensacola, Fla.; his sisters, Florine Miller (Wayne), of Canton, Robertine Jones, of Jackson, and Ora Lee Hester (Tommy), of Pearl.
His pallbearers were Michael Jones, Chris Jones, Jeffery Jones, Danny Street, Rod Riley, Pat Larkin and honorary pallbearer David Ray.
