One of the best known of Alaska's aviators. He made many long and daring rescue missions, saving lives of fellow pilots and medical emergency patients. Brought first tri-motor aircraft to Alaska, the Ford Tin-Goose. He made the nationally recognized Jochinson rescue in Siberia.
