Mrs. Avy Cora Rebecca Abb, wife of Wm. A. Abb, died Thursday night at 7:30 o'clock at their home, south of this city of influenza. Her age was 39 years, 8 months and 21 days. Mrs. Abb was a native of Middletown Valley, and was a daughter of Reasen J and Annie M. Castle, deceased. She was a member of the M.E. Church at Mt. Pleasant, this county, and was a loving wife, devoted mother and kind friend. Besides her husband she leaves the following children: Mrs. John Minnick, near Middletown; Mrs. John Kinna, this city, Austin and Leo Abb at home, and also these step-children: Irving Abb, Jefferson; Dorothy and Lillian Abb, at home. The following brothers and sisters also survive her: Charles Castle, Mrs. Theodore Shafer and Mrs. William Sheffer, Middletown; Emory Abb, Hagerstown; Mrs. George Summers and Mrs. William Loehner, Mt. Pleasant. The funeral will take place on Sunday at 2 o'clock. Services at the house and interment in the Lutheran Cemetery in Middletown. Thomas P. Rice is the funeral director.
