KENNETH SWEIGART, 52, OF EPHRATA

Kenneth Lee Sweigart, 52, of 375 E. Fulton St., Ephrata, died at his home at 10:52 p.m. Friday after an illness of eight months.

He was the husband of Anita Kay Brubaker Sweigart. They celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary on Oct. 1.

Sweigart was employed for 33 years at Warner-Lambert Co. In Lititz, where he worked as a mixer.

An Ephrata High School graduate, Class of 1962, Sweigart spent two years in the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam War and attaining the rank of specialist fourth class.

He was a member of Mellingers Lutheran Church in Schoeneck and Local 8670 of the Oil, Chemical & Atomic Workers Union. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and hunting.

Born in Ephrata, Sweigart was the son of the late Raymond G. And Esther Rollman Sweigart.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by: two daughters, Kendra Leigh and Kristi Lyn, both at home; two brothers, Leon R., husband of Isabel Gerard Sweigart, and Fred M., husband of Nancy Boyer Sweigart, both of Ephrata, and three sisters, Margaret M. Reider, Janet F., wife of Elwood Hackman, and Elaine J., wife of Richard Heisler, all of Ephrata.
