BATTLE CREEK, Iowa -- Conn C. Struble of Denver, Colo., formerly of Battle Creek, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, in Denver.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. today at Crown Hill Funeral Home in Wheat Ridge, Colo. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Conn was born in Battle Creek, the son of Ed and Effa (Pembrook) Struble. He married Gwendolyn Wedmore on June 4, 1936, in Albaton, Iowa. Mrs. Struble passed away in 2004.
Survivors include five children, Wilma Smith of Yorktown, Texas, Gordon Struble of Sioux City, Connie Laible of Topeka, Kan., Ira Struble of Denver, Colo., and Sandra Dudley of Denver; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; a sister, Thelma Miller of Castana, Iowa; and a sister-in-law, Ethel Struble of Onawa, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his wife; an infant son, Richard Allen Struble in 1948; and his siblings, Blanche Pouloskyi of Onawa, Iowa, Floris Davis of Cameron, Mo., Clelia DeVries of Rock Valley, Iowa, Mildred Amundson of Lamoni, Iowa, Edward Struble of Onawa, Jenny Noftsger of Lamoni, Lloyd Struble of Lamoni, Ivan Struble of Castana and Warren Struble of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
