Katherine E. Howell, 90, of Lexington, died Monday, March 28, 2011 at Lafayette Regional Care Center in Lexington. Visitation will be Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Friday, April 1, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Lexington Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Lexington.

Katherine E. Howell, 90, of Lexington passed away on Monday, March 28, 2011 at Lafayette Regional Care Center, Lexington. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Church at 10 AM. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington, from 6 to 8 pm with the Rosary Recited at 7 pm. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lexington. Burial will be in Lexington Memory Gardens Cemetery. Katherine Elizabeth Arth was born July 30, 1920 near Dover, MO; to John and Rosa Kampschrader Arth. Katherine married Virgil Howell on November 2, 1946 in Kansas. Mrs. Howell had worked at the Lexington Inn in the housekeeping department for 9 years and then had worked at the Higginsville Habilitation Center in the food service department for 15 years. Mrs. Howell was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, the Altar Society and was a life member of the Lexington Women's Auxiliary of the V.F. W. Mrs. Howell was also involved in the Foster Grand parenting program at the Presbyterian Church Pre-school. Survivors include her children: Sandy Rockhold and Husband, Bill of Lexington, Rick Howell of McKinney, Texas, Steven Howell of Caddo Mills, Texas and Peggy Jo Howell-Leonard and husband, Mike of Overland Park, Kansas. There are 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Also surviving is a sister, Mary J. Rehmsmeyer of Dover, Mo. Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Virgil and 5 brothers, Charles, Louis, John, Frank and Joseph and two sisters, Frieda Arth and Anna Cretzmeyer.
