Mrs. M. B. Parker Services Friday
Mrs. Mary Bartlett Parker, 73, widow of the late W. S. Parker of Rice, died in Austin Thursday afternoon.
Funeral services were held Friday at 2:30 p.m. from the Haynie Memorial Methodist church in Rice with burial in the Rice cemetery.
The rites were conducted by Rev. E. C. Sooter, pastor of the church, and Rev. Marvin C. Bledsoe, pastor of the Central Methodist church, formerly of Rice.
Surviving are three sons, Matt Parker, Rice; John Parker, Austin, and Jesse Parker, Corsicana; a daughter, Miss Beulah Parker, Kansas City, Mo.; three grandchildren, two brothers, Hiram Bartlett and Will Bartlett, both of Rice; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Smith, Rice, and Mrs. Dick Norwood, Dallas.
Pallbearers were Ira Cardwell, Clarence Mahaley, A. D. Ellis, S. B. South, J. K. Bradley and Milton Emmert.
