Mrs. CARL E. BLODGETT
Mrs. Alice Blodgett, 66, of 502 Gage St., died Tuesday morning at Putnam Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Bennington Feb 21, 1903, she was the daughter of John Grant and the former Julia Graves. She received her education in Bennington schools, and was married to Carl E. Blodgett Feb 12, 1923. Mr. Blodgett died Nov 4, 1963.
A member of St. Francis de Sales Church, Mrs. Blodgett's main interests were gardening and her home and family.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Francis (Jeanne) Chapman and Mrs. Bernard (Julie) Galipeau; two sons, Carl and William, all of Bennington; 15 grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be held from her residence Thursday at 9:30 am with a prayer, and then from the St. Francis de Sales Church where a requiem high Mass will be celebrated at 10 am.
Friends may call at the residence after 7 tonight and recitation of the Rosary will be at 8 pm Wednesday. Burial will be in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are being made by the Mahar and Son Funeral Home.
