Theresa A. Gow, 97, of Huntley and formerly of Stevens Point, Wis., passed away Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011.
She was born April 7, 1914, in Stevens Point, the daughter of Julian and Anna (Przbilski) Buza. On June 16, 1934, in Chicago, she married James W. Gow.
They lived in Chicago for many years, where they raised their family. She was a member of St. Angela Catholic Church in Chicago and the Altar and Rosary Society. In 1980, they moved to Stevens Point, where they enjoyed their retirement. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the Ladies Club there.
She is survived by her son, George (Patricia) Gow of Huntley; her grandchildren, James (Sue) Elsner Gow of Sycamore, Judith Landorf of Sharon, Wis., Joseph (Deborah) Gow of Huntley, and Lisa Urban of Huntley; 13 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim, on April 1, 2001; and her brothers, John Phillip Buza and Edmond Buza.
Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point with the Rev. John Gow officiating. Burial was in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the church.
