COAL TOWNSHIP — Dorothy G. Graboski, 93, of 994 Trevorton Road, Coal Township, died at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at the Shamokin Area Community Hospital, Coal Township.
Born in Shamokin Jan. 15, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Folger) Bendrick. She was a lifelong Shamokin area resident, and was raised in Excelsior. She lived for the past 60 years in Coal Township.
In addition to attending local schools, she also attended beauty school and, for a short time thereafter, operated her own beauty shop.
On April 11, 1942, in Shamokin, she married Alex G. Graboski, who preceded her in death on 1987.
In her early days, she was a seamstress for the Oxford Dress Factory and also worked as a homemaker.
She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Church, Coal Township.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Rick Holland, of Somerville, N.J.; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Sonja Graboski, of Bohemia, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Rick and Rob Holland, Dave Graboski and Cindy Courcelle; eight great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Billy Skylar, Devon, Cole, Caitlin, Chase and Ryan; a sister, Genevieve Long, of Shamokin, and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Coal Township. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Christian Vigil service on Thursday and from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. on Friday at the Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin.
