Skubitz, Dan J., 70, a retired attorney, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003. Rosary 6:30 p.m. today, Downing and Lahey Mortuary East Chapel. Service 10 a.m. Saturday, Church of the Magdalen.
Mr. Skubitz graduated from Capitol Page School in Washington, D.C. He also graduated from the University of Maryland in 1954 and the George Washington School of Law in 1957. In June 1957, Mr. Skubitz moved to Kansas and joined the law firm of McClellan, Michaud, and Robbins. In 1962, Dan became a sole practitioner, and in 1987, Dan and Frank Ojile formed the partnership of Skubitz and Ojile, Attorneys at Law. Mr. Skubtiz retired in 1997.
Preceded in death by parents, Joe and Mary Jess Skubitz.
Survivors: wife of 47 years, Betty; son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Monica Skubitz; daughters and sons-in-law, Danette and Edward Corriston, Suzanne and Bruce Kempin, all of Wichita; 11 grandchildren. Memorial established with Renal Care Group Food Bank, 1007 N. Emporia, Wichita, KS 67214.
