Mrs. Stinger died Tuesday at her home.
She was co-owner of Cedar Street Inn and also was employed at the former Hills Department Store and at Peter Pan Bakery.
She married Melvin "Bud" Stinger in 1945 in Davenport. He died in 1982.
Mrs. Stinger was a member of Suburbanette Bowling League for 30 years. Her other interests included fishing and playing cards.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Romey, San Diego; a stepdaughter, Joan Beeks, Davenport; a son, Bill Morford, Spokane, Wash.; a stepson, Melvin "Butch" Stinger, Davenport; eight grand-children; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alice Nickelson, Bettendorf.

DAVENPORT - Services for Dorothy Stinger, 77, of 1047 S. Pio-neer St., will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today.
Mrs. Stinger was preceded in death by stepdaughters, Carol Stinger and Helen Benton.
