Maggie Lee Abner: TECUMSEH - Maggie Lee Abner, 94, of 408 E. Logan St., Tecumseh, died Monday at Provincial House in Adrian. She was born Feb. 26, 1886 in Winchester, Ky., the daughter of John and Margaret (Adams) Gamboe. On Aug. 28, 1913 she married George Allen Abner in Winchester, Ky. He died May 28 1958. Mrs. Abner moved to Britton in 1917 from Kentucky and later lived Monroe County. For the last 22 years, Mrs. Abner was a resident of Tecumseh. Survivors inclued one dautgher, Mrs. George (Christine) Meads of Tecumshe; two sons, Forrest Abner of Tecumseh and John Abner of Blissfied; on sister Mrs. Mary Raymond of Monroe; two bothers, Clyde Gamboe of Brooklyn and Thomas Gamboe of Pioneer, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also proceded in death by two sisters, three brothers and a great-granddaughter. Services will be held at 2p.m. Thursday at the Purse Funderal Home in Tecumseh with the Rev. Albert Dimbat officiating. Burial will be in Ridgeway Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
