1/LT Earl Loren Harris, Sr. was my father. I was the second his children. He was buried in Green Hill Cemetery. My father graduated from Purdue University in 1949. He met his wife (my mother), Dora Ellen Davis-Harris @ Purdue University when they were students there. He was an Army Ordnance officer for about 3 years at the time of his death. He is buried next to My older brother, Earl Loren Harris, II (1951-1973). He is buried not far from Paul Franklin Harris who was his brother, but died as an infant. He is buried not far from his mother (Margaret Ellen Huff-Harris-Ritter) His mother's house was located at 2002 J Street, Bedford,IN which overlooked Green Hill Cemetery; it was the view overlooking the graves of her two children who preceded her in death. 1/LT Earl Loren Harris, Sr.'s wedding was a military wedding and his funeral was a full military funeral with honors. His father, Ernest E. "Ernie" Harris is buried in Calcutta Cemetery, Van Buren Township, Clay County, IN where Grandpa Ernie's father (John Harris), grandfather Silas Evan Harris), and great-grandfather (David Harris) are buried.
