Jessie was born to John Gordon Brown and Ida Iaio Watkins Brown in the Owltown District, Union County, Georgia on October 22 1925. Her home was about a mile from Corn Hollow, on the way to the Coosa School when both of them attended. There was some difference in age but I'm sure as they aged, they becames friends and sweethearts and later husband and wife. The had four children, Carmell Francis Corn Dean, Jodie Ervin Corn, Franklin Eugene Corn, and Janie Mae Corn Beavers. Like her mother Jessie was a great cook an I enjoyed many meals at her house. Jessie passed away as a results of an accident on October 13, 2008. She sure will be and is missed.
