Edith Bobbitt Rites Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Keeling Bobbitt of Hearne were held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 5, from the chapel of Heartfield Funeral Home with the Rev. R. W. (Buddy) Hillenkamp of Grace Methodist Church officiating.
Burial was in Norwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Bobbitt died Saturday, April 3, in a Houston hospital where she had been several days after becoming ill. She was born Edith Tenison at Clifton on November 2, 1913 and was 57 years, five months and one day of age. Mrs. Bobbitt had worked as a saleslady for several Hearne businesses but in recent years had been working in Bryan. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, B. W. Bobbitt of Hearne; her father, Roy Lee Tenison of Clifton; five brothers, Ralph Tenison of Denver, Colo, William Tenison of Los Angeles, Calif., Roy Tenison Jr. of Corpus Christi, Joe Tenison of Waco and Charles Tenison of Mineral Wells; four sisters, Mrs. Nell Hunt of Indinapolis, Ind., Mrs. Jesse Cassout of Miami, Fla, Mrs. Lillian Kettler of Clifton and Mrs. Mary Holland of Mineral Wells.
