Nellie Wise Gullick, 92, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at her son's home in Olive Branch. She was a member of Bethany Primitive Baptist Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, growing flowers and spending time with her family.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Browning Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Larry Wise officiating. Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Glen Gullick (Linda) of Olive Branch; three daughters, Patsy Knight of Olive Branch, June Bright (Dan) of Coldwater and Sherri Smith (James) of Water Valley; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry David Wise and Mahalia Jane Shelton Wise; her husband, B.F. Gullick, a sister, Lillian Goggans; a brother, Fred Wise; and a grandson, Derrell Gullick.
Pallbearers will be Joey Coward, Edmund Brown, Sloan Sparrenberger, Mike Scroggins, Adam Nichols, Jacob Sparrenberger and Brandon Faust.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
