On March 31, 1771, in Merrimack County, N.H., Jenney Nesmith married Adam Dickey, a son of Adam Dickey and Elizabeth MacPherson, both natives of Scotland. Very soon after their marriage, about the spring or summer of 1771, they relocated to the Town of Francestown, N.H. Jenney's husband's name is found upon the taxlist of 1773 for Francestown. However, they could not have remained there long since they were early settlers of Topsham, Vt. Jenney and Adam Dickey were married more than sixty years and had at least ten children.
