Louis O. Osburn, formerly of Victor, died in the Binghamton City Hospital, Saturday, January 21, 1939. He was born in Farmington 67 years ago, a son of Henry C. and Mary Osburn. He came to Victor 35 years ago and was in the meat market business here until about 15 years ago, when he disposed of his interests here and moved to Rochester. About a year ago, on account of failing health, he went to Binghamton to live with his daughter, Mrs. Harold Mattern. He had been seriously ill for about a week, and was taken to the hospital four days before his death.
The surviving relatives are his daughter, Mrs. Mattern; a son, Dudley R. Osburn of Rochester; and a brother, Stacy Osburn, who lives on the homestead farm in Farmington. His wife, the former Miss Mae Cornford of Victor, to whom he was married in 1897, died about 16 years ago.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist church in this village, Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. A. O. Rehme officiating. Masonic rites were conducted by Milnor Lodge, F. and A. M., of which he was a member. Interment was made in the Boughton Hill Cemetery.
