Son of Carroll Franklin Norris, Sr. and Evelyn P. George Norris.

Carroll, who resided in Magnolia, Delaware, served as a Sergeant with Company F, 36th Combat Engineers, 36th Division, Seventh Army, U.S. Army during World War II.

He was "Killed In Action" in France while serving as a squad leader.

He had served in the Army for one year and six months at the time of his death and was decorated with the European-African-Middle Easter Campaign Ribbon with five Bronze Battle Stars, Bronze Arrowhead, and Purple Heart.
