He was a computer programmer for 35 years and was employed at Roadmaster Inc., in Eatontown. He had also been employed as a systems programmer for Continental Insurance Co. of Neptune for 20 years. Born in Somers Point, he was a graduate of Ocean City High School and Stockton State College.
