Juliette "Juli" Catheryn Beairsto, 94, Kelso, died Dec 22. 2001, in a local nursing home. She was born July 29, 1907, in Tacoma to Charles and Florence (Mason) Benjamin. She moved to the local area in 1935 from Tacoma. She worked many years as a clerk at the state liquor store in Kelso. Mrs Beairsto was a life member of the Moose and the American Legion, loved to travel and take cruises. She especially loved cooking and enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to dance until her health interfered.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Beairsto, son Jack Gilbert and daughter Shirley Nolan. She is survived by three grandchildren, Chris Rheaume of Longview, Claudia Voyles of Winlock, and Larry Nolan of Bozeman, Mt.; six great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Columbia Funeral Service with Pastor Terry Sundberg officiating. Private interment will take place at Cowlitz View Memorial Gardens.
