Dr. William G. Sinex was born November 27, 1825, and died March 25, 1899, at the residence of his son, William G. Sinex, Jr., in New Albany. He belonged to a pioneer family of this city. His father, Thomas Sinex, was an earnest and successful business man of New Albany in early times. . . Dr. William G. Sinex was married in this city to Elizabeth J. Finn, and one son, W. G. Sinex, Jr., survives the marriage. . . Dr. Sinex was educated at Asbury University – now DePauw University. He graduated from the Louisville Medical College fifty years ago, and then took a course at a medical college in Philadelphia. He began the practice of medicine at Utica, Clark county, coming thence to New Albany. From this city he went to Nauvoo, Ill., soon leaving there for Spencer, Ind., where he practiced fifteen years, and then removed to Lamar Mo. and thence returned to New Albany. - New Albany Daily Ledger 30 Mar 1899
