James "Jim" Edward Brown, 78, Keytesville, MO passed away September 6th 2011 at Moberly Regional Medical Center. James was born September 30, 1932 in Kingston, MO to Gerald DeLoyd and Eva Mae (Lake) Brown. After graduation from High School in 1950 he entered the U.S. Navy until 1954, he served in the Korean War. After the Navy, Jim moved to Braymer, MO where he met Sadie Margaret Hawkins. The two were married April 2, 1955 in Braymer. Jim owned and operated Brown's Barber Shop in Keytesville, MO for over 20 years, he co-owned Jim & Gerry's Mobile Service Station in Keytesville from 1974-1995, and he worked for Guilford Auto Sales for five year. James is survived by his wife Sadie of the home, four children Steve Brown (Judy) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Gerald Lynn Brown, Debra Jean (Brown)Carson (Danny) of Keytesville, MO, Mark Edward Brown (Laura) Harrisonville, MO, four grandchildren Brandon Deloyd Brown(Carrie) of Keytesville,MO, Kyle Edward Brown of Harrisonville, Eric Steven Brown of Excelsior Springs, MO, Nicholas Joel Brown(Ashley) of Springfield, MO, six great grandchildren, one sister Jean Leedom, several nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents, and one nephew. Visitation is Thursday, September 8th from 5-8:00 p.m., at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Services are Friday, September 9th at 1:00 p.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury with burial in Bethany Cemetery north of Keytesville. Memorial may be made to the Bethany Cemetery Association.
