Pauline M. Morrow, 94, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at her home in Mt. Pleasant, IA.

Visitation will begin after 12 noon on Friday, June 12, 2015, at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel. The Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m., after which time the family will greet friends until 7:00 p.m. that evening. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at St. Alphonsus Cemetery with Reverend Joseph Phung officiating. A memorial has been established to Hospice of Central Iowa. On-line condolences may be directed to www.olsonpowell.com.

Born October 26, 1920, in New London, IA, Pauline Marjorie was the daughter of George Joseph and Margaret May Gill Hoover. She was a graduate of New London High School. On May 31, 1940, Pauline married John W. Morrow at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant. He preceded her in death on August 9, 2001.

Pauline worked at Kennedy’s Nursing Home and as a waitress at Kennedy’s Dairy in her younger years. For many years, she was employed as a machine operator at Metromail prior to retiring in 1983.

A life-long Henry County resident, Pauline was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Always putting her family first, Pauline was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid poker player and enjoyed playing the game with her family. She had a special place in her heart for her little dog, Sadie.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Mike) Strait of Washington, IA, and Joyce Welcher of Mt. Pleasant, IA; a son, Mike (Carla) Morrow of Mt. Pleasant, IA; and a brother, Thomas Hoover of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Along with her husband, Pauline was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Hoover and Earl Hoover; four sisters, Edith Brown, Martha Combs, Cecelia Hoover, and Marie Claire; and a son-in-law, Russell Remick. andchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
