Roger E. West was born Sept. 20, 1933, in Chambersburg, Pa., and resided in Chino Valley, Ariz., until his passing on Aug. 21, 2011.

He served in the army for eight years. He was a mechanic by occupation and worked for Ray Hill on Miller Valley Road for many years. He loved spending time with family and relatives, enjoyed outdoor activities such as camping, fishing and spending time at the lake. He also enjoyed doing puzzles. He could always make you laugh when you were down and was a wonderful father. He loved animals and made sure that growing up my brother and I always had animals in our lives.

He is survived by his daughter Rose McClymonds; sisters Dorothy Miley, Amy Bishop and Jeraldine Denchoff; brothers Ralph West, John West and Charles West; sister-in-law Phylis West; grandchildren Chantel McClymonds, Russ McClymonds, Samantha West and Kyle West; nieces Cindy West and Debbie West; and nephew Mike West.

His death was preceded by Barbara West, wife and David West, son.

He was an inspiration to his family and friends and we will miss him dearly. He lives on in our hearts forever.

His service will be Sept. 9, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Prescott National Cemetery located at VAMC, 500 Highway 89 North, Prescott, AZ. 86313.
