Services for George L Beach, 79, were held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Smith Funeral Chapel with Reverend J.R. Moreland officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Born November 11, 1895 at McKinney, Texas, To Mr. & Mrs. Thomas W. Beach. Mr. Beach died Saturday, May 10 at his home in Checotah. He was a retired farmer and had lived in Checotah 75 years. He had also been a worker in the City's "Green Thumb" program.
George is preceded in death by his parents; Thomas W. and Sarah (Hipps) Beach, his wife; Myrtle (Gramlich) Beach in 1966, and his only child; George Lawrence Beach in 1963, sisters; Kinnie Beach and Bessie Beach, his grandparents; George Washington and Margareta (Hawkins) Beach.
Survivors include five grandchildren, Mrs. Don Sisco of Checotah, Mrs. Bobbie Farmer of Muskogee, Mrs. Glynda Burnett of Stilwell, Mrs. Marie Bohanan of Ratliff and Larry Beach of Harrah; two brothers, Charles Utah Beach of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Corbett James Beach of Tulsa; 16 great-grandchildren
