A 1956, graduate of Bethware High School, she was a registered nurse and a homemaker. She was a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church, formerly a member of Davidson Memorial Baptist Church and her home church was New Camp Creek Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Claude Hamrick and Clara Cooper Hamrick; son, Jason Wade Pearson; brothers, J. Y. Hamrick, the Rev. Joseph Hamrick, Howard Hamrick and several stepbrothers; sisters, Myrtle Hawkins, Brenda H. Bridges, two infant twin sisters and several step-sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Marion Jr. Pearson of the home; sons, Marion Keith Pearson and wife, Tina of Casar, David Scott Pearson and wife Christina of Casar, Larry Mark Pearson and wife, Donna of Casar, Barry Blaine Pearson of Casar; sister, Mary Sue Laughter of Hollis, Flossie Ragan of Blacksburg, Frances Hamrick of Kings Mountain; godson, Dean Hawkins of Shelby. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a number of step-grandchildren
