Ruby Grace Matthews -- Age 74. A native of Toxey, AL and a longtime resident of Eight Mile, AL, died at her home on Friday, February 6, 2004. Mrs. Matthews, a homemaker, was loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leo Matthews and two grandsons, Jim Matthews, Jr. and Mitchell Matthews. She is survived by her children, Jim (Lynn) Matthews, Joe (Charlotte) Matthews, Jeanine (Allen) Grubbs, Wayne (Mary) Matthews, David (Linda) Matthews, Tony Matthews and Sherri (Anthony) Snead; three brothers, Buddy Holland, Bill Holland and Ernie Holland; four sisters, Margaret Holland, Doris Nicholas, Sarah Holland and Linda Miller; fifteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home Saraland on Sunday, February 8, 2004 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home Saraland on Monday, February 9, 2004 at 2 p.m. with interment in Pine Crest West. Funeral arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, AL.

Honorary pallbearers were Mitchell Snead, Justin Cazalas and Blake Cazalas. Active pallbearers Clay Cazalas, Michael Snead, Zachary Matthews, T. J. Matthews, Bill Butler, Carl Hanke and Jeff Miller.
