Shannon Q. Combs, 33, Kansas City, Mo., and formerly of Punta Gorda, died June 15, 2006, in Kansas City. He was born Aug. 28, 1972, in Hialeah and had been a Punta Gorda resident before moving to Junction City, Kan., in 1990. He attended Charlotte High School and was a member of the Silver King Marching Band. He was in sales and marketing for Starwood Resorts in Kansas City. Survivors include his mother, Patricia A. of North Port; his father and stepmother, Charles J. and Terri L. of Punta Gorda; brothers Charles J. Jr. of Zanesville, Ohio, and Sean J. of Toms River, N.J.; sisters Patricia A. Swenson of Clarksville, Tenn., and Brenda Boulakroune of Tampa; and several aunts and uncles. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kays-Ponger Funeral Home, Punta Gorda Chapel. Burial will follow in Royal Palm Memorial Gardens. Published in Herald Tribune on June 20, 2006
